My Story
I’m the founder of SelphGuard Home Inspections,a Jacksonville native, and someone who is proud to call Florida home. Born right here in Jax, I spent my life watching our communities grow while staying connected to the people who make this area special. In fact, my parents still live here, and today my wife and I call St Johns home along with our two dogs.
As a homeowner myself, I understand that buying a home is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. Whether you are purchasing your first home, upgrading your forever home, or preparing to sell, you deserve clear answers and someone who has your best interests in mind. That’s why I started SelphGuard Home Inspections, my goal is simple: provide honest, thorough inspections and clear communication that help people make confident decisions.
I approach every inspection as if I were inspecting a home for a friend, family member, or neighbor. Living here all my life has also given me a unique understanding of the challenges Florida homes face, from moisture and roofing concerns to the effects of our heat, humidity and storms. When I am are done, you’ll receive a comprehensive same day report, but more importantly you will have a trusted resource who is happy to answer your questions and help you better understand your home.

What Makes My Approach Different
A home inspection should be more than just checking boxes on a list. My goal is to give you a clear picture of what’s going on with the home and help you understand what it means. Infrared scanning is included with every inspection to help identify areas of concern that may not be visible to the naked eye. It’s one more tool in my toolbox that helps provide a thorough evaluation of the home.
I’ll answer your questions as we go and take the time to explain things when they come up. Whether you’re buying a home, selling one, or just trying to stay ahead of maintenance, I want you to leave the inspection knowing what you’re dealing with and what to expect.
What You Can Expect When You Hire Me
Same-day digital reports, straightforward communication from your first phone call through your final walkthrough, and an inspector who shows up on time and treats your property with respect. I offer general home inspections, pre-listing inspections, new construction inspections, 4-Point Inspections, Wind Mitigation Inspections, 11-month warranty inspections, and water testing throughout Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.
Outside the Job
When I’m not inspecting homes, you’ll usually find me somewhere around Northeast Florida enjoying the same community I grew up in. That local connection matters to me. I’m not passing through this market; I live here, and my reputation depends on doing right by every client.
